you have to be persistent, and not move the mouse at all, cause you can now reorder them. it takes a little practice.

I dunno... whenever I click the thumnail for blkknights picture, I just get a 60% image screen with a red x... I just cannot seem to see that exact picture out of all the submitted ones...Xade wrote:you have to be persistent, and not move the mouse at all, cause you can now reorder them. it takes a little practice.

Re: Designing the Calender
Okay, I have updated the first post of this thread with the status on the project so far.
As of the moment we have 10 pieces of art uploaded, whereas several can go directly to the "Ready for Print" section. Several more should be incoming.
Riley, were you planning on updating your picture with the proposed text?
Ron has, unfortunately, not heard back from Relay of Life, despite a named contact person having been issued, so now I will try and see if I can come through with them...
I have been proposed to set the final deadline to 29th of April, at which point we will have to make good with what we have or there will be no time to get it out to the buyers before we hit the start of the calender... I see this as a sound suggestion.
Lets try and get this baby home and get some help out there!

Re: Designing the Calender
Another deadline reached and another step on the road to the finished project...
At the time of writing we have 10 comics stored in the "ready to print folder", and a couple of more ready for transfer when we have a few alterations in place... that means 13 images ready, 5 to go.
Lets see if we can carry this one home...
Regarding the use of the Relay of Life Logo, then I have finally received the following reply from our contact:
I apologize for the delay in response and thank you for your interest in supporting the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. I had originally forwarded your request to our communications department for advice on how to proceed further. As you can imagine the protection of our logo and image are of the upmost importance to our organization and your request, being the first of its kind, required a number of conversations as I and my associates were not familiar with the webcomic forum.
We make every effort to support the fundraising efforts of our volunteers and appreciate that a talented group of individuals would wish to lend their time and efforts to our cause. Conversations are still being held and I hope to be able to provide you with an answer in the near future.
Lets hope they get this discussed through as soon as possible so we are in the clear about this too...
Below is a list of dedications to the project I'm planning on adding to either on the back of the front page or at the last page, all depending. If you don't see yourself or your comic added, don't worry, I'm still putting it together... however, if you see something that's not right, please let me know so I can change it before I go and add it to the item in print...

You'll get some none DD-company soon enough, as soon as the rest of the images arrive and/or I get the list done

Re: Designing the Calender
Update:
Number of images ready for print: 12/18
Confirmation for use of logo from Relay of Life: Nothing further to report
It's an uphill battle, but we are slowly getting there...
Incidently, could one try and download Blkknights image and mail it to me? I STILL can't get to see the full image, and what I can download myself is horribly mangled...
Lets try and take this one home..

Re: Designing the Calender
It is now down to the fact that we have 15 out of 18 images for the calender ready. Granted I took the liberty of changing the layout of Legomegacy's image (since I've been unable to get a hold of him again) so that it fit the size demanded by the calender (if anyone can do some proper work on it, DO let me know!), but Rocky pulled through and added HER image to the list, so that makes us just short on 3 images!
Come on people, you'll get thouse images through and I'll keep bugging Relay of Life, we GOT to pull this through!!

Re: Designing the Calender
People, friends and artists, I am happy to tell you that as of this date we now got all 18 images at hand!!
... or in our Photobucket account so to speak...
Now there's just for me to get the final confirmation from Relay of Life (*crosses fingers*), then its out to make the calender itself.
Within one week I want this thing out for sale so we can finally support the good cause you have all worked so hard for!
Thanks for a job well done everybody
