Halloween Cameo Caper 2000 - Invitation & Guest List

Greetings travellers from near and afar!

My name is Alfred Doletti and I am the last in line of an old family which goes far back in the past.

I have just recently returned from travels afar to take over our old family holdings of Castle Overlook, an ancient castle situated in the mountains which has been a part of our family for generations. Its original history is lost to the mists of time, but my family have build and expanded the castle for generations until it is now a huge complex, at the size of a fortress and a sight to behold, as well as a storehouse for legends and stories.

The castle has now been closed, abandoned and unused for over 50 years, but now I'm ready to move in, take over my family holding for good and restore it to its former glory.

To celebrate the return of the Doletti family to castle Overlook, I hereby invite you, my dear reader, and whoever you want to bring, to spend some time with me at the castle, to meet people from afar and beyond, and to have one hell of a party; one that will bring forth the true castle in all its majesty!

Does this invitation sound intriguing to you? If you are not convinced to answer it yet, take a look at the Setting of Castle Overlook thread elsewhwere in this forum to get a more in depth description of your host, the castle and the surroundings, the place chosen for this year's caper.

When finally you, after having checked what's in store for you and your characters, decide to join the Halloween Cameo Caper 2008, go and make a New Thread in this forum, titled with your comic's name, in which you accept the above invitation and present yourself, your comic and, most important, the characters who you would like to send for participation, as well as a few links of reference for them (cast page, strips, drawings etc.). This way other artists will get a good idea of what they look like and has easy references at hand for when they are going to add to their Halloween strips!

Any questions about the rules for participation go to this thread!

Any questions or comments to the respective cartoonists should not go here, but instead to the relevant thread for the respective comics...

I just went and set the deadline for signing up to the Caper to the 1st of September 2009, adding it to the first post of this thread.

Reason for the deadline is, as with previous years, to ensure that there's a set number of participants the various artists need to work into their strips so we don't miss out on anyone

I've signed up, so how does all of this work exactly? Do we get a specific set of instructions or rules on this?

And you've just been added to the guestlisst!

All in all its about everyone going together, sharing plans and suggestions, making and crosssing storylines as they go along if thats how it turns out

Just updated the list with the latest participants as well as updated guest-list

Monday is the last day for signing up, then I'll send out a mail to everyone who's signed up at Tuesday, jolting their memory about the event in case they've forgotten over time

... then it's time to get the show on the run

Deadline has now been reached and official signed up has now been closed.

Mail has been send to all participants to remind them about the project... especially since some signed up so long ago that it may have been forgotten or plans have changed...
