I voted space ship, next best thing, by then I should have a good runtime and bed able to drag Alex out and about, exploring the worlds and traveling the Interstellar Sunbeam as needed. Alexis has been getting too much of the action. :P

You should probably put a new vote up with the top three choices, or such.

Naah, we already has enough difference as it is, and think of the fun it could be to come up with a setting for a Haunted Castle on a Shaceship (though Ron already has come up with a suggestion) or a Spaceship Under the Sea?

I know I'm always going on about this, but can we keep the setting as simple as possible? It just strikes me that a big crossover event is about the characters, not the setting...

I think, if it comes down to it and we get grab ourself in own bosom, we should this time, out of practice, be able to come up with and settle on a setting pretty early on there will be more time to concentrate on the characters and interactions... if people are inclined to do so that is.
I'll be doing what I can, that I can promise :)

I would vote that it be in some manner of haunted location guessing the choices are a haunted space station or a castle there are many useful character interactions to be used and it gives characters a chance to be scared out of their minds by new findings which might just be other comics characters.

So. How's the progress coming organizing this crossover since I posted on the last page? Very interested in boosting my fledgling audience with any sort of gimmick or event ;)

One Glorious Crossover on Halloween?

Post by Jpac »

Will we be attempting to all have the same exact comic on Halloween, or will there be many cross-overs leading up to Halloween with the day ending in whatever way we imagine?

(I'm sure no one will be forced to have the same exact comic on Halloween, but I am wondering if that's a goal)

Well, the originally concept, and the one you go for when you sign up, unless you fall prey to longer storylines and crossovers, is one strip/image on the day of Halloween (or as close as your update schedule allows) where you depict all the characters (or as many as possible) partying out in the chosen setting. Each participating comic will off course have their take on the situation in the end...

In reality, everything is possible, and people are encouraged to figure the extends out among themselves during the plannings...

Did that answer your question? :)

Now that the location has been decided, will we continue to use this thread to organize the crossover event? If possible, I would like to have people post some information about the characters they would like to be featured by other comic artists.

Something like a name, what kind of personality they have and what world they live in, and a front, back, and side view of them. In my mind, the point of a crossover is not to have your character featured in image, then have the host artist do whatever he/she wants. It's to have them portray your character as they appear in your own comic. I'll draw up an example based on my characters in a few days.

My guys won't be directly participating in this... though I'll make a reference at some point... possibly cameos too. I have a joke ready in my mind, but it's likely not to happen along side the actual event.
