I'd like to say that the addition of the ABC etc. to the dropdown list is a good addition and helps break up a sometimes visually overwhelming list.

Good job. :D

I have checked the site every once in a while, but I do like the new alphabetical features. Very long list, indeed.

I'm the moderator of the Comic Books topic over at NitCentral & I was thinking of starting a board for nitpicking webcomic crossovers & I was mentally composing an About message when I realized that I did not know what is considered to be the first webcomic crossover.

So what comics were the first & when?

Hmm... without truly knowing if I HAVE recorded the first one, I would say it all started with Waiting for Bob/Bobbins back in July 1999, followed by Bobbins/Goats in December.

2000 started in January with When I grow up, followed by GPF/Hosers - crossover in february, beating the CRFH!!!/Joe Average/Life at Bayside triple-crossover with 2 weeks and the Superosity/Bobbins with 2 months, followed by the triple-crossover of Alice/Elf Life/Clan of the Cats (links currently missing) and the CRFH!!!/Funny Farm - crossover ... then crossovers really caught on in 2001! :)

Sluggy Freelance and User Friendly has a gimmick back in 1999 where they exchanged a character for a week, but since it was standalone storylines for each comic, I have counted those as individually extended cameos.

Took me a while to find time to get around to it *shifty eyes* but it's finally up.

The long way (that preserves the frame) is http://nitcentral.philfarrand.com/cgi-b ... discus.cgi scroll down to Comic books & go to Crossovers.

The short way (that eliminates the frame) is http://nitcentral.philfarrand.com/discu ... 1301766006

The frame is kind of important as it contains a link to the site's formatting (different from the BB Code used most places) & it helps navigating the site as well.

If you do post anything, remember no links to anything that would be inappropriate for children. (Which will be problematical when I get around to nitpicking the Crossover Wars. Oh well, I think I can manage.)

Also because of a major spam attack a while back the site's owner set the software so that only one link per post can be made.

I was going down the main list seeing if a comic was included or not & noticed this

Spoon on High
S. G. Valkyrie Yuuki
Spook'd

I didn't realize that Sparkling came between Spoon & Spook.
