 :o

Wow, that's true. I was actually looking at things like that and yet I missed it.

Heh, I even made it a point to not post as the Editor if he was appearing in any of the cameo'd comics along the way. When he showed up in someone else's comic, I would not post. When he was directly involved in clearing out you invaders from the EOU home, he didn't post. :)

I was SURE someone, ANYONE would pick it up... and no one ever mentioned it. To me, it was the only thing that would make sense... he can't post if he's having screen time, after all. :)

I guess we all assumed someone like the Editor would have no problem with Co-Location. The average Bunny could do it easily, even when captured.

*Grumble*

Sorry, that just slipped out. I got to stop B****ing.

You have a right to complain. IIRC, I had some, er, "issues" with being in more than one place at a time during the wars. Some of those were due to mistakes on my part (I.E: EGSJstone being in both the EGS forums and the FLEET comic at the same time,) but many of them were due to me having no less that two "normal" Jstones and one (later two) godlike "author avatar" Jstones. Bleh.

well, I approached it exactly how I thought it SHOULD be. In a real-like type of situation, the Editor could not have been in two places at once, even with his knowledge of magic.

Also, just FYI for you guys... he never actually EVER came to the forums. He never left EOU headquarters. He was projecting via magic into the forums, which at one point you guys actually managed to block it. It's the main reason y'all could never capture him... he was never physically THERE in the first place. I emailed this to a couple of the people that were actively involved with trying to catch me, or at least give hints and guidance toward the right direction... but even then, no one ever fully put that together. :)

Yeah, as I recall I *twice* time-traveled you to fix colocation errors.

And yeah, I think everyone went a little overboard with the being multiple places at once. Can't really blame them - they just wanted to be in on the action! - but I think if we were to involve forumites again, we'd want to restrict that - if only so that capturing people would have a point! The rest of the silly powers and whatnot were generally more manageable than that.

Yay! Let's have a "We hate colocation" party!

Sorry about that. I was an annoying newbie back in the crossover wars

I wasn't actually thinking of you when I said that. Anyway, I still shouldn't moan, after all, I wasn't perfect either.

And I'm still ashamed that I never noticed this.

That happened to Amon a couple of times too, amusingly. Even more amusing, though, was that I tried to correct all errors myself, be having Amon teleport or similar.

I definitely agree with no Co-Location, however, 'players' with captured characters should still be able to manage NPC. Actual NPCs, that is, with reduced power and importance. Assuming, of course, there is a second Forum Wars.

No, but you've learned from the past, which is what matters. Everyone makes mistakes.

Actually, I was referring to Amon. And of course, seperate characters is a whole different thing; as long as they aren't creating new characters to get around being captures, it's perfectly fine as far as I'm concerned.

Anyway, there can of course be exceptions, but I'd say next time, no everybody and their monkey being in three places at once.

See, it's funny, but it seemed to me like you were one of the more mature ones of the party. But maybe I'm projecting your character onto you... or maybe I was just hanging out with too many bunnies.

Anyway, I'm sure everyone has a few mistakes they made in the Wars. But it was fun! And that's what matters, right?

Well, somewhat. Being decipherable for readers would be good too. >.>

Can we bring multiple selves? Or would the irony cause the party to collapse in on itself?

That's what the thingy in my sig is for. But it is sad that we need a freaking guide for this. That's the problem with mixed-media events like this, especially when one media is more or less real-time. If something like this happens again, I might make a spider to scrape the forums for relevant posts, to be compiled into a readable archive later.

Tee hee. That's one of those things that you can't really figure out after the fact.

So what would have been seen if a forum bunny had pointed a camera into the forum room, to watch for your next appearance?

Darn, well, then I guess nothing :-).

That, honestly, would have been impossible. The Editor's room was protected, first of all, by much stricter defenses than even their main base. Yes, he allowed some view INTO it (being WCA, he of course knew when the readers were following Catnap into his room, for example) but that was more to show how little he feared being watched/observed. I was also watching the forums very carefully, because I was shaping his responses in-forum to what happened in other people's posts.

The only way this could have possibly happened would be for someone to God-mode it. And to be honest... it would have been ignored as a God-mode.

I mean the room where he "seemed to appear". If he used magic to project an image of himself when he wasn't on-screen in the comic, then would anything have been noticed by a camera?

For example:
- Would he have appeared to people, but not to recording devices (Or more interesting, would he have appeared to any sentient AI's, but not to any dumb recorders?)
- Would he have appeared as a "blur" for one or two frames? Would that blur have shown any recognizable distortion effects?

Ah. I see. :) Well, since you weren't in the chat/forums at the time, you wouldn't know.

The Editor *NEVER* appeared. He just spoke from within the shadows. They never saw a claw, a scale, a tail, nothing... just a disembodied voice from within the various shadows.

... sometimes the shadows from within their very own clothing, just to mess with em. :) Much easier to just project sound than a full image, after all. :D

Then we way overreacted, as always, and set up huge floodlights everywhere to create a somewhat safe perimeter. Which was when you started channeling into the shadows in peoples clothes. IIRC, somebody then cast a spell which eliminated all shadows, which caused most people to be temporarily blinded :P

Man, that RP was fun as a side thing. But us bunnies did go overboard a lot.

Overboard? There's no such thing :-).

(Although when I ran RPG's, I used the "Enough Rope" theory to let my players hang themselves. Hey, if new players want to attract the attention of the Big Bad while still low-level, ...)
