Change Scent Invented by Hogan
Level : 1st (Priest)
Sphere : Animal
Range : 0
Components	: V, S
Duration	: 1 turn/level
Casting time	: 3
Area of Effect	: Caster
Saving Throw	: None
Many creatures of the realms have such a poor sight, or even none at all, that they have to rely on other senses in order to survive. One sense is the superior ability to track prey and other creatures by the scent they leave behind. Many has tried to avoid their trackers by canny means, only to have the predator turn up a little later, having followed their scent all along.
By the help of this spell, the priest is able to change the scent her body gives away. Instead of smelling like the unique human being she is, she could change her smell to that of another creature. She could decide to give of the scent of a squirrel, a buffalo or a wolf, everything to confuse and loose unwanted pursuers. If of the hunting type, she could also change her scent to something appealing to other creatures, like that of a female fox in heat. This should quickly lure in any male foxes around.
The scent given away is just as strong as the scent the priest normally gives away. Hence it is increased by heavy labouring and such. At some point it will reach a level where normal humanoid beings can also smell it, probably raising many curious eyebrows when the young damsel suddenly smells of wet dog!

Close Tree Invented by Hogan
(Alteration)
Level : 1st (Priest)
Sphere : Plant
Range : 30 yards
Components	: V, S, M
Duration	: 1 turn
Casting Time	: 4
Area of Effect	: 1 tree
Saving Throw	: None
Mostly used by Druids when dealing with the illusive creatures of the faerie, the spell has been taken up by many other priests of different faiths. Unfortunately some of them have more sinister designs for its use.
When casting the spell, the caster targets a nearby tree within range. For the duration of the spell, this tree will be closed to any creature trying to use it either as a hideout or as a gateway to other plants or trees, either by spell or innate ability. Both actions are common among the sylvan creatures like the Dryads, but also useable by those who have access to the spells and prayers of Treejump, Transport Via Plants and similar.
Should such a creature or spelluser already have entered the tree before the spell is caught, the creature is either caught in the tree with no means of exiting, or is prevented from using the tree as a target for any transport or jump, all depending one the type of spell or ability.
The material component for this spell is a stout oaken staff, which is struck into the ground at the completing of the spell.

Holy Conversion Invented by Hogan
(Alteration)
Reversible
Level : 1st (Priest)
Sphere : Healing
Range : 0
Components	: V, S
Duration	: 1 round/level
Casting time	: 4
Area of Effect	: 1 spell/round
Saving Throw	: None
This prayer allows for conversion of already memorized prayers into the various cure-spells (Cure Light Wounds, Cure Moderate Wounds). For the duration of the spell, those prayers the caster has memorized but not yet cast, can be cast as a cure spell of a level lower than the original spell. If appropriate, the reverse of the prayer, Unholy Conversion, converts the spells in Cause-spells (Cause light Wounds, Cause Moderate Wounds). 1st level spell can only be converted to cure/cause 1 hp.
Priest/Wizards can also use this spell to convert memorized wizard-spells into healing spells though their effect will be three levels lower, hence a 4th level Ice Storm will be converted into a 1st level Cure/Cause Light Wounds. Wizard spells of 1st through 3rd level will only Cure/Cause 1 hp pr. spell level.

Lengthen Rope Invented by Hogan
(Alteration)
Level : 1st (Priest)
Sphere : Creation
Range : 10 yards
Components	: V, S, M
Duration : 10 rounds/level
Casting Time	: 5
Area of Effect	: One piece of rope
Saving Throw	: None
By help of their spell, the caster can cause any given none-magical rope to grow in length.
The spell must be cast on a length of rope within range. The length of the rope doesn't matter, as the caster lengthens the existing rope with 100% for each level achieved. Hence a 10th level caster could lengthen a rope with up to 1000%, making 10 feet of rope into 100 feet, enough to scale the towerwalls, even if it previously was small enough to be hidden on the body.
Note that this spell only confers length, the thickness of the rope is not enlarged by the spell, but the weight will increase normally as the rope lengthens.
Cumultative spells cast on the same rope has no effect, and severing the rope will immediately end the spell. The original rope or piece of, is the component itself.

The affected subject will be complete mute, she will be unable to utter a single sound, take part in any means of conversation, and all spells requiring verbal components is impossible to cast.
The spell can only be cast on beings capable of producing speech (growling, snarling and such is also "speech" for the purpose of this spell), hence only living creatures can be affected, although magical items capable of speak also is considered a legal target.

Sphere : Divination
Range : Touch

The material component of the spell is a finely crafted object worth at least 150 gp, and the caster's holy symbol.

Sling Thorns Invented by Odwin "Odds" Bodkin
(Alteration)
Level : 1st (Priest)
Sphere : Plant, Creation
Range : 20 yards
Components	: V, S, M
Duration	: Instantaneous
Casting Time	: 3
Area of Effect	: Special
Saving Throw	: None
The spell allows the caster to throw 2d4+6 thorns all at once and have them fly and strike as darts. The range of the thorns is the same as that of darts: 10 yards short range; 20 yards medium range, 30 yards long range.
The caster can throw all the thorns at a single target or attempt to scatter them at several targets. The latter means that the number of thorns split amongst the individuals in the target group as the DM sees fit. For example, if the priest throws 7 thorns at 3 creatures, the DM could say that 2 thorns are thrown at each of two creatures and 3 thorns are thrown at the third creature. Scattering them invokes a -1 penalty to the attack roll in addition to any range modifiers. Upon striking the thorns do 1d3 damage each, regardless of target size.
The material component for the spell is thorns from some plant such as a rose, hawthorn, or cactus.

Steel Knot Invented by Hogan
(Alteration)
Level : 1st (Priest)
Sphere : Creation
Range : 20 yards
Components	: V, S, M
Duration : 4 rounds/level
Casting Time	: 4
Area of Effect	: One Knot
Saving Throw	: None
By uttering this prayer, the Priest can give a single knot the hardness of steel. In game terms it means, that even the worst made knot, will by any chance come loose by itself and it will be impossible to untie by normal means. The rest of the rope however, is not affected, and both the rope and the knot can be severed by an edged weapon.
The spell can be used to fasten the knot connecting two ropes, making it impossible for them to fall apart, or to secure a persons peaceknot, effectively preventing him from drawing the weapon. Creatures bound by ropes fastened with a Steel Knot, subtracts 4 from their bend bars check in order to break the bounds.
The spell only works on normal ropes, magical ones are not affected.
The material component is a small piece of rope, which is tied into a knot when the spell is cast.

Steelwood Invented by Hogan
Level : 1st (Priest)
Sphere : Combat, Plant
Range : Touch
Components	: V, S, M
Duration	: 2 rounds/level
Casting time	: 4
Area of Effect	: 1 item of up to 20 cubic feet
Saving Throw	: None
This prayer enchants wooden items as to get the strength of steel. If the affected item is useable to be used as a weapon (pretty similar to a staff, club etc.), the items is basically +1 to damage but -1 to attack due to shifted balance, although only a slight difference in weight can be felt.
The spell can also be used to reinforce lesser wooden doors, making any attempt to break them down suffer a -3 penalty and making them immune to the Warp Wood spell as they are considered to be more steel than wood.
While enchanted with this prayer, the item can be affected by the Ironguard spell and the powers of a Rustmonster.
The component of this spell, is an oakleaf pierced by a nail
